CPD Providers

Find CPD providers and compare options that support ongoing competence, compliance and evidence. CPD is not just “learning”. It’s learning you can prove, record and defend when asked.

Note: CPD requirements may differ by role, product scope and employer policy. Always confirm requirements with your FSP/compliance team and the provider.

What this directory is for

This directory helps you shortlist CPD providers based on delivery type, topic focus and record-keeping support. The best CPD setup is the one that’s consistent, relevant, and produces clear evidence.

Learning formats
Online courses, webinars, workshops, micro-learning, blended programmes.
Topic focus
Compliance, FAIS/FSR updates, ethics, advice process, record-keeping and more.
Evidence support
Certificates, logs, reporting, exportable records and proof of completion.

Provider listings

Add CPD provider listings below (directory plugin, CPT + Elementor loop grid, or curated provider cards). Recommended filters: topic category, delivery type, duration, and “includes certificate/log”.

Placeholder: CPD provider listing grid
When you build the directory, consider including:
  • Topic tags (Compliance, Ethics, Product/COB, Advice Process, FIC, etc.)
  • Proof indicator (certificate, log export, completion report)
  • Delivery type (on-demand / live / blended)

How to choose a CPD provider

Choose CPD that matches your scope and the realities of your job. The best CPD is relevant, consistent and produces clean evidence. If it doesn’t produce evidence, it didn’t happen. That’s how compliance works.

Questions to ask the provider
  • Topics: do you cover compliance updates and practical application?
  • Format: on-demand, live, blended? What fits your schedule?
  • Evidence: certificate, completion report, CPD log export?
  • Tracking: does the platform keep your history and progress?
  • Quality: is it scenario-based, or just theory?
  • Support: can you get help if you’re stuck?
What “good CPD” looks like
  • Clear link to your role and product scope (COB)
  • Short, practical modules you can complete consistently
  • Evidence generated automatically (certificate/log/report)
  • Topics updated when rules and expectations shift
  • A clean record-keeping system you can export

CPD record-keeping (keep it simple)

The “learning” part is only half the job. The other half is evidence. Keep a simple CPD file with:

Topic
What you learned and why it’s relevant.
Date
When you completed it (and proof).
Evidence
Certificate, report, log entry, screenshots.
Outcome
What you changed or improved in practice.
If your CPD provider gives downloadable logs or reports, that’s a strong advantage. Evidence should be easy.

Common CPD mistakes (avoid these)

Doing CPD only at year-end
Fix: spread it out. Consistency is easier and more defensible.
Choosing irrelevant topics
Fix: align CPD to your scope, role and client-facing duties.
No proof kept
Fix: store certificates/logs immediately. Assume you’ll need them later.
Low-quality “tick-box” learning
Fix: choose scenario-based, practical CPD that improves real outcomes.

Are you a CPD provider?

List your CPD offering so representatives and employers can find you. Include topic categories, delivery type, and what evidence learners receive (certificate, log exports, reporting). Make compliance easy.
